Welcome to my site. My name is Marco Boschi and I’m an Italian student currently enrolled in the last year of my master in Computer Engineering (artificial intelligence path) at University of Bologna, where I’ve also obtained my bachelor degree.
About Me
My interest in the world of computers and programming sparked during the last year of middle school, when I discovered how easy it is to create simple webpages. From there I started learning HTML and CSS to approach the web and then when PHP and JavaScript where added to the mix those toy websites I developed for fun turned into real applications interacting with databases peaking with working for a real company providing software to simplify the management of data.
When I choose my high school I decided to avoid going to a professional school focusing on IT in order to get a broader knowledge base and then go to university. For this reason during my five years of high school I taught myself how to program and build databases using information collected from the web. In my years at university, while studying in details something I already knew, I found out how poorly I knew about some aspects and so I went back to the various programs improving many things. At university I also picked up OOP and started approaching the world of mobile applications and now I’m an Apple developer with some apps out there on the AppStore.
When I find something I like I want to find out more about it usually in a practical way. That’s the reason at the origin of some of my apps, for some others it’s a personal need I decided to fulfill myself without looking for something already there and done by others, an approach that led me to learn about different aspects of mobile apps. When I work on this kind of projects that I like and that challenge me to think out of the box and discover new things I become really engulfed by them and continue working with the satisfaction of seeing them grow bit by bit.
About This Website
This website was born as my first attempt to tackle the web and for a long time was inactive while I was focused on more complex projects. I then revamped it with the idea of turning it into a collection of various simple scripts for webpages but it never got past a few of them.
Now it’s time for its second evolution to turn into my portfolio of big and complex projects I made since becoming a computer engineering student.
